THE HEALING PRESENCE IN YOU

In the Introduction to her book, ‘The Healing Presence’ Leanne Payne observes, “The vision was of a painting, yet not a painting, for Christ’s living face glowed through it. While it was the Divine Face, yet it was aglow with and framed by the richest of earth’s sun-baked hues. It was a vision of Incarnation, the Uncreated shining through the created… ‘I see a smiling face, many times larger than life, and it glows in sun-drenched, earthly colours. Strongly through earth’s rosy hues streams the Uncreated Light, and I, a creature, bask in the face of Jesus, the God-Man who died and rose again. The “Word of God our flesh that fashioned” (“Jesu Joy of Man’s Desiring”) smiles through the incarnate Son of Man, still dusty with earth’s radiance, and the two are one. And He is behind me, overlooking my work; in front of me, blessing me as I look up to Him. He is all around me; He is even within me.”
Incarnated: This is how we live in good instead of in the knowledge of good and evil.
As a ‘doer, we simply multiply activity. Incarnated with Christ we ignite what we do with His Spirit and life.
INTERWOVENNESS OF GOD AND THE SONS/DAUGHTERS OF GOD
Jesus is more than a measured ‘Event within us.’ He is woven into our being. Not contained in some compartment, not restricted to an entity called the ‘anointing’ nor imprisoned in holy days and sacred spaces. Christ is in us so much that Paul calls Him our life.
EITHER A DEAD TREE OR A BURNING BUSH
Christ come in our flesh means that the things we create with our hands are touched with the divine life that is in and with us. In this new and living way we are the agents of the New Creation Kingdom of God. In the incarnated Christ, the unlimited life of God refuses to remain congealed in religion or compartmentalised in the categories of the knowledge of good and evil. It flows from the trinity into us and out into the Earth as rivers of living water – from you.
CREEKS ALIVE
Over twenty years ago I had a dream from the Lord in which I saw water filling long drought-desiccated, parched creeks. I thought for several years that this was large numbers of people learning to live in the Holy Spirit and the gifts. It was, but this is not all it was. Many years later I was led to see that dry creeks becoming rivers of living water was much more than Holy Spirit and the gifts. It was the people of God and the whole world learning to live in the new covenant and the incarnation – in what John calls Christ come in our flesh and what Paul calls, ‘Christ our life.’
Christ as a man and as God joins us to God. In His Person by the Spirit, we are connected to the Life-Hub of the universe that is the Trinity. This is the state of being that Moses saw as the burning bush. The green tree aflame is Christ our life. Incarnated in you it is you alive in His life.
